PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Rowing at Forest Hills Northern is a no-cut, co-ed, club sport with varsity status in the spring high school athletic season. The FHN Rowing (Crew) program is made up of rowers, coxswains, and coaches working together to compose a team. This ultimate team sport combines strength, endurance, and technique to create a crew that can synchronize their strokes to propel their "shell" (or boat) through the water.

Teams travel together to races, called Regattas. Due to the limited number of opportunities to row prior to high school, no experience is necessary.

As a club sport, financial support comes primarily from rower fees and fundraising efforts. FHN Rowing Parent Advisory Board is a part of the FHPS Boosters, a 501(c)3, Nonprofit Organization. The daily operations of the rowing team is the responsibility of the head coach. Coach(es) are employees of FHPS.

The FHPS Boathouse is a shared park and facility for all FHPS rowing clubs. The FHPS Boathouse is located at Michael McGraw Park, 8400 Grand River Drive SE,
Ada, MI 49301.
